Dear Elementary families,

Class placement is a team process. We value parent input in developing well-balanced classes, so if you would like to share any pertinent information about your child entering grades 1-5 next year, please use the following form.  You may submit a form for each child that you have in our schools.  This form is completely optional and it is important to know that we do not take requests for specific teachers and/or to be placed with specific students.  Submissions received after the deadline may not be considered.  Thank you for your input!

Important Upcoming Dates:

May 5th - NYS Math Test Make up day:
Students in grades 3-5 were scheduled to take the New York State Math Test today, April 29th. Unfortunately, due to widespread technical difficulties with the state's computer-based testing platform, the assessment has been rescheduled. The new date for the grades 3-5 Math test is Tuesday, May 5th. We have been assured that intensive efforts are underway to resolve these technical issues. At this time, we anticipate that the remaining New York State assessments will proceed as originally scheduled.

Milton Terrace celebrated a Day of Caring on Wednesday, February 12th, where students and staff members spent the day supporting various organizations within our community.  The day kicked off with a full school assembly about the importance of helping others in our community.  Grade level "buddies" then met together to learn more about the organizations they are supporting.  Finally, buddies worked together on a variety of service learning projects.  It was a wonderful day of giving at MTE!

Here are the community organizations we supported:

  • Kindergarten and 5th grade students- Lifeworks
  • 1st grade and 3rd grade students- Ronald McDonald House
  • 2nd and 4th grade students- Wesley Community
  • Mrs. Church and Ms. Levan's classes- Saratoga County SPCA

Volunteers Needed!

The MTE PTA is in need of volunteers for the Holiday Shoppe on December 12th from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM.  There are about 30 minute blocks of time you can sign up for.  Volunteers will help students shop for gifts, count money, and we have a gift wrap station.  Please sign up on this sign up sheet if you are able to volunteer.  All volunteers will need to bring their license and sign in at the front desk upon entry.  We really appreciate all who can volunteer!
